Build vocabulary in Naming and Writing at the same time?

If your students are totally beginners in learning the Chinese language. You are trying very hard to help them build vocabulary in both Naming and Writing at the same time. You are wasting your precious instructional time to do it as there won’t be many outcomes to be achieved.

Referred from our long teaching experience and observation of the non-Chinese-native speaking learners, teaching students to build vocabulary both Naming and Writing at the same time, this will not produce as positive results as teachers want it to be.

Say you want to teach a word 鸡jī 蛋 dàn. You can see the difficulties of and are much different. To Name a word you can listen to the sound or you can read out the Pinyin, like the kind of way to spell an English word.  On the other hand, remember the shape of Hanzi you have to mesmerize the structure or the strokes which is much more time-consuming than its pronunciation.
