Introducing BLCU (Beijing Language and Culture University)


Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) was founded in 1962, It is the only international university in China with its main task set at teaching the Chinese language and culture to foreign students. Meanwhile it also undertakes the tasks of providing training courses for teachers specialized in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and offering pre-departure language training to candidates intending to go abroad.

BLCU has the longest history, the largest scope, and the most qualified teaching facilities of its kind in the area of teaching the Chinese Language and culture to foreigners. Over the past 47 years since its establishment, the university has trained hundreds of foreign students who are proficient in Chinese and familiar with the Chinese culture, from over 176 countries and regions in the world.

Remark:
Regular short-term programs: from 8:00 am to 12:00 am Monday through Friday.
Intensive short-term programs: from 8:00 am to 12:00 am and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Long-term programs: from 8:30 am to 12:30 am and 14:00 pm to 18: pm Monday through Friday. The class hours vary depending on chosen courses.
